6 Ponca City, OK Ponca City, OK Full-time Full-time $75,000 - $85,000 a year $75,000 - $85,000 a year MAIN FUNCTION Responsible for planning and execution of all maintenance activities in Cogen, maintaining spare parts by proper inventory methods.
Support operation team for proper and safe operation when needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversees the safe, efficient, reliable and environmentally sound maintenance of Cogen equipment.
Maintain the proper storage of spare parts in hand.
Establish & maintain the quantity of spare parts needed for Cogen equipment, based on the OEM recommendation and/or consumption pattern to prevent unnecessary plant shutdowns.
Raise the Purchase request based on requirement for spare parts after consulting Cogen Superintendent.
Follow up with Purchasing department and/or supplier for tracking the delivery date.
Maintain the maintenance job request either in work-order system or EAM.
Establish & maintain the EAM system to track maintenance jobs for evaluating equipment reliability.
Plan for maintenance work with available resources, priority after consulting with Maintenance and Cogen Superintendent.
Execute the maintenance work as per plan and keep track of parts used and update work order system.
Keep records of maintenance repairs on significant equipment.
Support Process Engineers for Root-Cause Analysis of equipment failures and implement the solutions evolved from analysis.
Fill in for Operation supervisor as needed for operating scrubbers, steam turbines, generators, plant auxiliary equipment and systems during normal and emergency operations.
Assists in on-the-job training of Operators as needed.
Assists in development, review, and revision of plant operating procedures.
Maintain and improve housekeeping on a daily basis around the facility.
Actively participate in established safety program Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Assist with improved quality and efficiencies in the operation.
Other duties as assigned.
SPECIAL SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS Reads and interprets blueprints, schematic diagrams, P&IDs, procedures and technical manuals.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of power plant operations, systems, and equipment.
Strong troubleshooting skills to solve problems.
Directs activities of others and provide job instructions Communicates conditions of plant system and equipment to others.
Good computer skills (Microsoft Office Programs) to complete operational spreadsheets and print/email as needed.
Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED required.
2 or 4 year degree in a technical field - preferred.
3 Years' experience in a Co-generation power plant operation and/or Maintenance.
- Previous experience as a Planner preferred.
