The Quality Coordinator/Risk Manager ensures the delivery of quality patient care, promotion of safety and reduction of medical errors. This manager will gather quality and performance information and provide clinical analysis, designed to identify patterns of patient care events that may lead to sub-optimal outcomes and identify areas where patient care needs improvement.
Actively participates on committees related to patient safety/care, environment of care, performance improvement and others as needed. Ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards, state, federal, agency, professionally affiliated licensure and/ or regulatory survey or inspection for areas of responsibility. Maintains Performance Improvement indicators and submits updates on a regular basis. Works with department managers to identify and implement quality activities in their departments. Assists with coordination and review of physician peer review and mortality review cases. Performs core measures audits. Demonstrates responsibility for the establishment of a loss prevention program and institutes actions to reduce areas of high risk potential.
Observes professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired regarding person, financial, medical or employment of patients, families, and employees of PCMC. Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and PCMC. Must report hazards and initiate appropriate action. Must participate in safety instructional programs.

Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Registered Nursing. Additional preparation in areas of Epidemiology & Quality Management techniques is desirable.
Experience:A minimum of two years experience in an acute care or closely related facility and can demonstrate a clear working knowledge of general hospital operations, risk management principles, conflict resolution and performance improvement. Employee should possess leadership skills.
Skills: PC skills or applicable computer experience.
Licenses/Certifications:Holds a current license in the state of Oklahoma as a licensed professional nurse.
