Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care of critically ill patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Serves in the Resource Nurse role when oriented and directed. Supports the hospital mission, the vision of the nursing department and the philosophy for excellence. Utilizes knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
Perioperative nurses provide care across the continuum, beginning when the patient is first told of the need for an operative or invasive procedure and ending when the patient returns to his or her usual activities. The perioperative nurse's focus of concern is the patient and his or her family members, significant others, and friends. The flexibility of perioperative nurses to work in the OR, PACU, Endo, Central Services and/or Ambulatory setting is a key component in providing a quality continuum of care for the patients.
Employees must observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired regarding person, financial, medical or employment of patients, families, and employees of PCMC. Employees must also follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and PCMC; they must report hazards and initiate appropriate action; and must participate in safety instructional programs.

Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Experience:
May begin at entry level and successfully complete an orientation to the Outpatient Services and PACU Department. Demonstrated leadership abilities; able to work under stressful situations. Possesses good oral and written communication skills. A demonstrated ability in interpersonal relationships which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolutions, and facilitates staff development. Skill and knowledge to sustain and evaluate clinical competence in caring for the specific age and type of patient population served.
Skills:
PC skills or applicable computer experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Oklahoma. BLS and ACLS required. Critical Care Course preferred within 1 year of employment.
Working Conditions
May be exposed to/occasionally exposed to patient elements; subject to varying and unpredictable situations and interruptions; occasionally subjected to irregular hours; occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. A high paced environment with a controlled climate. Position may require lifting, carrying or pushing equipment or patients.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
